Very good. confortable and nice location.

The location is awesome, very close to Metro and walking distance from supermarkets and the city center.

TV just work if you have your own signature of streaming and you will need a good internet plan also.

The room is clean and quiet. Metro and tram stations are right outside. The adjacent bakery is excellent.

Our room is on the 4th floor. The staircase are narrow and stiff.

Great location, host was very nice. Bed was very comfortable. Wasn’t noise at night and tram and metro on your doorstep

Lots of stairs but that was fine, found the door tricky to unlock at times until got the hang of it. Shower was lovely but did drip continuously when turned off

Great room in an authentic Amstel House ( so the stairs are obviously tricky but so charming) really great location and great neighborhood ! the bed is really comfy and cozy! spent the ADE days there and it was just perfect ! so sad we had to go back home :(

steep staircase specially when having large luggage. Small Toilet. Shower in the room may be inconvenient for some, a small fan for the hot days would be great.

Nice room for a weekend. Barbara kept in touch for and questions.

Small room with great location!

The location is really good, walking distance to everything, and 30min walk from the Central Station. We didn't use metro or bus, but there are plenty near the apartment. The bed was super comfy! And besides being a pretty small room we were really comfortable. The host was responsive and kind. Have in mind that you need to go through a lot of stairs to get to the room, so if you have a big suitcase it could be tricky.

You have a little stove to cook and two pans, but there's no cutlery or plates/dishes and the toilet room is quite tiny. The host tried to charge us for some tax that was clearly included in the price we paid upfront, maybe by mistake but it felt a little weird. We just let her know that we paid it and that was it

Good location, room needs updating and a Fire Plan Required

Good location within the city

No fire evacuation route, this was very concerning as there was no escape in the event of a fire and no signage or notification informing guests what to do in the event of a fire. There are 4 cracked tiles in front of the shower cubicle which are both dangerous and unhygienic. It was very hot during our visit, there is no Air-con which we knew about however a request for a fan was not granted. Upon opening the window there is a consistent loud noise from a neighbouring generator which hummed all night which we found annoying. We checked out a day early because of the above as it was spoiling our experience of Amsterdam.

Very Good

I have no complaints whatsoever. Barbara was excellent in terms of communications, and I was delayed and rebooked multiple times. My expectations were for a clean room and a hot shower, and everything was as hoped for. I wish I'd realized this was slightly a walk to "things", but that's my own fault. My only complaint was that the pillow(s) were basically non existent, but I'm sure other folks love very flat thin pillows. I just happen to love the exact opposite. All in all, nothing wrong here and it was exactly the level of comfort and such that I expected from prior reviews, the price, etc. I will note that I am 45 and very able bodied, and those stairs are a wild ride. I was all the way up top, and it's an experience after hitting a few coffeeshops. My bag is a large-ish backpack, so I could hold a railing... but definitely can imagine someone less mobile than myself with a rollybag just saying screw it and sleeping on the first floor.

Great location and a clean place

We really liked the location of this stay. It is literally on top of a bakery/coffee shop with the subway on the corner. It was super easy to get to and most everything in downtown Amsterdam is so walkable as is. We would definitely come back and stay here!

The apartment was really clean, a good use of the small space, and an easy walk from nice shops, restaurants, and pubs. The bakery downstairs is amazing. Barbara was a lovely host.

Wonderful host, great location, extremly clean, - great stay!

The proprietor could not have been more nice. The room was exceptionally clean. IT was less that a block from the subway - only 3 stops from Central Station. She provide us wonderful options for walking back to city center which very much improved our experience! It was heavenly quiet as well.

Well it was 60 narrow steps up to the room, which when we arrived seemed a lot, but after rest was not big deal. Apparently it was in the description - but I had missed it when I booked. It became part of the quaintness of the room.
